Around the turn of the 19^th Century, the two sister companies Franz Mayer of Munich, Inc. and F.X.Zettler, belonged to the world renowned and appreciated stained glass studios. Famous for their sophisticated “Munich style”, they produced stained glass windows of highest and finest quality for more than 50 cathedrals and thousands of churches just for their American clientele.  

The Mayer studio, now owned and operated by the 4^th and 5^th generations, is still strongly obliged to its tradition and heritage: in style, qualities, and values. Together with their crew of artists, glass painters and master craftsmen, they take all their efforts to meet the high quality, details, and transparency of the traditional windows – even nowadays.  

The self-conception of quality and workmanship combined with the ability to explore and improve has made Franz Mayer of Munich, Inc. one of the international leading studios for stained glass, architectural glass and mosaic.
